Sometimes we slip into playing and living in a much smaller and safer way than we are really here and capable of living. The key to moving beyond this place is to get conscious and to begin to really live the life we most desire. For many of us this desire may feel distant or faraway or perhaps we have been there but lost our way and need to regroup. We often get cues or hints in or daily life that gets us thinking – am I happy , is this life really working for me? Some of us freeze like Bambi in headlights when we hear these messages and stay small- as change can be uncertain and staying where we are seems safer.  Some of us reach overwhelm and question our whole life, its meaning and purpose.  We all get a moment of pause that allows us to question how we are really living life.

When we are being called forward to live more consciously we usually:

Get a niggling feeling that something is not right…that we are not fulfilled

Experience a reoccurring sense that there is more to life than the way I am now living.

Or get another sign in a way we are used to receiving information

Always listen to these cues because they provide invaluable opportunities and subtle openings for change and lasting success.

Recently I realized that I had a lot on my plate and that my priorities and my ability to accomplish what I needed to accomplish while still loving my life was becoming a challenge. I had one of those niggling feeling that something was not right. I had to stop- slow down – listen – take the bull by the horns and reprioritize my days based on what I truly desired most- that aligned with what I value most.

So where does getting VERY clear on our desires enter into the picture?

What we desire is central to designing a life of success and meaning. When you understand your deepest desire (and have tested it to see if it is linked with your highest reason for being here -your destiny) your life will take on a new rich meaning- fulfillment will be central to your every day. You then know that you are on the path to a life well lived.

Let’s get practical here is the roadmap I have used to anchor my deepest desires and values in my day and to measure- daily- how I am doing:

First be clear about your dream– what do you really want to accomplish (be it in your life or a given month- the art here is clarity about what you want!

Next, take small measurable steps to build more of this dream into your day (find a teacher or mentor who has already accomplished it, research about it – to build understanding. Do whatever you can to make it real.

See yourself already there- picture yourself living or accomplishing this great desire ( it really helps to take the distance and blocks away). As you become more comfortable and familiar with the desire it slowly becomes a part of your world.

Notice coincidences and synchronicities….these are gold dust. Every day here are signs, messages and intuitive knowledge available to us. We must be proactive and invite this wisdom in and use it.

Close each day with a review of what was wonderful about the day and aligned your day actually was with your greatest desires and values. We are living in an era where great consciousness is needed. Be very conscious and very intentional.

These days that we are living in are absolutely amazing. We have many choices available to us each day. Live life fully. It is your choice.

Let me know if I can be of help. I am committed to your success- your success from the inside out!

Each lesson life offers us can lead us further down the road to richer self-awareness and better living if we choose to listen, integrate the learning and accept the journey as an essential part of reaching our final destination. But do most of us take the time to see the ariel view- the full picture of what is really unfolding? Many say there is no time for that: it is hard enough keeping up with the day to day. Having set up The Essential Feminine ® Company over the past 2 years I recently felt the need to slow down and have a sabbatical – a regrouping. I took time over the past 8 months to journey to Boulder Colorado – at the foothills of the great Rocky Mountains. Nature has always been a great teacher for me and during this break it has been the most amazing gift. It taught me so much. I learned that I need to take time to reflect- daily on what is most important to me and where on each day- I need to place my precious life force and attention.  I learned that I hear more when I am still and I learned that the richness of family and close friends is something I cannot live without.

The biggest lesson of all has been around the daily practices and care that I allow myself- when I am going slow enough to listen I can hear what I really need. For me it is essential to have a daily rhythm and balance or I spin out. I guess you could say that sometimes when we create our dreams we experience a birth and after birth even though we adore our baby – we still need to come home to ourselves. So what does all this mean to you and your life? I think you have to answer this question for yourself .Here are a few questions I had to ask myself to put many of the pieces back together in my own life.

  • Where are things working for me now?
  • What needs to change or be different?
  • How well am I taking care of my self- body mind and spirit?
  • Does the work I do satisfy me and align with my values?
  • What is next for me?
  • What is most important to me right now- is it in my life?

The time I took in nature and contemplation – gave me the reflection time I need to write a course that reflects an amazing journey- the one I have just completed myself- I call it the Elixir Course. If it resonates with you let me know- I would like to take you on this journey with a small group of women.

Do join me on – if the time is right for you- take a look- http://theessentialfeminine.com/shop#life-elixir

Contemplation and inner reflection for many of us in this fast paced world are foreign concepts –from the past or maybe states of mind for monks.

These past two years have been very active for me and in retrospect I have been looking at the  inner lifestyle supports that I have turned to that have helped  me to create and live so many  of my dreams as I have been designing and co-creating The Essential Feminine Company. (www.TheEssentialFeminine.com).

During the past two years  I have had to find ways to stay grounded and open to innovation, peace and the quality of good living that I so value. After two very fast paced years I must now in retrospect acknowledge that my time spent in the quiet mornings in contemplation, meditation and inner reflection have not only been my life savers for creating inner peace but my well spring for creative ideas. This reflective time has been the place where I receive powerful ideas and guidance that leads to inspiration.

Contemplation, meditation and inner reflection have actually become essential to me daily as I have been stopping and listening most mornings in quiet- to hear what is most important and what signs thoughts or repeated patterns are occurring.  I now realize how this guidance and information would go right by me if I did not stop to listen and assimilate. I can now see what a huge price we pay in this world when this time is not taken – for each of us personally and for us collectively on the planet. Taking time to relax and listen- I believe—is where we gain and access so much rich knowledge and wisdom. Imagine if everyone stopped and listened each day! I wonder how our world would be different.

In the past five years-I have noticed how evolved we have become in the areas of thinking and analyzing – as we live in the fast paced information age. Our minds have adapted to these great skills as a way of receiving information for the guidance we turn to make so many of the decisions in our daily lives. But these are only part of the tools and resources we need to be referencing if we desire to live the amazing, intuitive and guided lives that I believe we are meant to live.

So how do we turn from relying often solely on our minds to now incorporate other essential informers? Here are some of my daily friendly reliables.  Try a few out in your early morning and throughout the day:

v  In the morning create a peaceful place to sit- contemplate –gather yourself- a place to -be present.

v  Build time into the morning to sit still- learn a practice to support you. (I find Andrew Harvey’s Book-The Direct Path- a fountain of inspiration and resources for stilling the mind and looking more reflectively at life).

  • Sit
  • Breath
  • Contemplate

v  Make time to include some contact with nature each day.

v  Experience the light, joy and peace throughout the day- some days we actually have to keep an eye out for it!

v  Notice when you are rushing… breath – slow down in that very moment.

  •  Value the time you make for you –as a precious gift to and for yourself!
  • Be conscious of how you best create quiet in your life—Go with what works and do more of it!

v  Clarity- notice if things are clearer in your life. Are you seeing things differently? Getting more information?

Please do share with me any changes that you may be experiencing in your life. Just two days of being “tuned in “should yield results!

Enjoy!

Thinking about summer almost always brings up the thought  of vacation.  As a child we were living on the East Coast of the U.S. and we always took our vacation on Cape Cod.  I have special memories of deep pine forests, ice cream cones, long bike trails and hot sandy beaches that warmed my toes.  As I embraced the business world, the lines of vacation became more blurred.  During some years time became less available and resources were expended with careful choice.  At the same time the need for rejuvenation still existed.   For me the most important thing has always been that I change my rhythm and pace so that I can begin to hear myself more deeply.  This, for me, is the finest gift of a staycation or of a truly relaxing vacation.

Today with the world moving at such a quick pace, many of my friends and colleagues are reevaluating what they need in a vacation/staycation.  For many this needs to be a block of time set aside for rejuvenation, contemplation and renewal.  That is not to say that the traditional vacation luxury is to be discouraged.  However, many people are being financially frugal or working more than they have in the past.  So what’s a woman to do?

What’s your plan for the summer?   What would be your version of an ideal staycation or vacation?    Join us for a wonderful staycation.  Come to our summer Bubble Bath on June 23rd , June 30th and July 7th from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm Pacific Time.  Read more about our Bubble Bath at www.theessentialfeminine.com .

What does life look and feel like when you are living with highly intentionally with focus and power?  Today we read so much about conscious living that the opportunity to look closely at these issues are readily available and provide us with insights that can totally change the quality of our lives.  The world has caught on to the idea that when we choose to live with clear intention and place our focus on this intention our sense of power and overall quality of life excel.

What are the aspects of intentional living that we need to incorporate into our lives or be aware of on a daily basis?  Intentional living begins with a connection to ourselves, our inner voice and our sense of knowing on a daily basis.  From this place of clarity and listening we begin to envision or become clear about what we want to create, be or contribute in a given day.  This leads to a sense of focus and intention that allows us to both measure consciously the things that make up our days and lives, as well as to make choices to refine and improve the way we live.

We often get a feeling that we are living our lives aligned with the things we love or not.  We often get signs or hunches that lead us to information or help us clarify feelings.  These are gifts and guides that we need to listen to daily.  I suggest having time in the morning in quiet or in contemplation to review what the day could ideally hold.

I have just started to look at some of the simple beginnings to creating a highly intentional, focused and powerful life.  So many different components including deep inner connection, a clear sense of how we want to live our life (in all areas), a clear sense of what power and contribution meant to us – as they serve as driving forces and give us motivation to design an amazing life. This month we are going to look more closely at highly intentional living as I believe that many of us are clear that this is the only way to live.  On September 22 at noon PST, we will be exploring this topic in The Essential Feminine™ Living Room and during the month of September we will be looking at the different components of an intentional life in our weekly blog.  Stay tuned and join us in the Living Room.  Please register at https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/861842960.

Did you ever think of designing an amazing blueprint for your life?  Actually becoming highly intentional instead of reactive, there is a way to do this.  This past month I had the opportunity to facilitate a webinar with thirty women from three continents looking specifically at this issue.

We no longer need to react to life, if we choose to co-create it.  I believe that our intentions guide the way that our life is formed and lived.  When we begin to look at our lives from the perspective of what is working and what is no longer working we get our first indication as to what needs to be changed.  Another indicator that is useful in creating a blueprint for your life is what from the past served you at one time, but no longer serves you today?  Take a moment and evaluate the different beliefs, values, and needs that you have that stem from the past and at one time served you well. Update these beliefs and needs to reflect what you believe and need now.  Too often we live in the past and limit ourselves based on days gone by.

Lastly, begin to notice how you feel doing a given task, spending time with specific people, or in any other area of your life.  How we feel is an indicator as to whether or not we are living our life in alignment with what we enjoy, truly value, and believe.  Living consciously is the only way to go these days, but it takes some practice slowing down and contemplation.  Make time for these things and you will live a life that you choose and desire.  Join us to create your own Women’s Success Blueprint at our two upcoming webinars on January 20 and 27.  Contact us at info@theessentialfeminine.com
